Honey citrine & pink grapefruit sapphire pendant necklace
Honey citrine & pink grapefruit sapphire pendant necklace
Tutti Frutti cocktail jewellery - bursting with juicy fruit flavours.
A warm honey citrine encircled by fresh grapefruit pink sapphires served on lustrous gold chain.
Handmade in Shetland.
Gem pairing
“Citrine symbolises serenity and new beginnings. It is said those who wear it will find a renewed sense of peace and a sunny outlook.
Many cultures believe pink sapphires hold special power, symbolise trust, sincerity and loyalty, and carry good fortune and intense love.
The balance of these positive meanings is matched by the beauty of the unusual colour pairing.”

Necklace Design
Taking cues from the Art Deco movement's fascination with symmetry and geometric designs, this Tutti Frutti halo pendant necklace features bold central gems reminiscent of classic Cocktail Jewellery. Suspended on an 18-inch trace chain with an adjustable link at 16 inches, it offers versatility in styling. Whether worn solo, layered with other necklaces, or partnered with pieces from the Tutti Frutti collection, it exudes timeless sophistication.
Metalwork
The halo, basket and bail were created by forming and shaping metal bullion using traditional mounting methods. These ‘master’ components are then used to create moulds from which wax versions are made, and these waxes are cast into 9ct or 18ct recycled gold using the ‘lost wax’ casting method. The component castings are filed, emeried and smoothed before being soldered together using gold solder and a blowtorch. The bail is threaded with gold chain and the jump rings and catch are laser welded for strength and durability.
Gems
The gems are responsibly sourced by a trusted dealer based in Hatton Garden, London who we work closely with to ensure the highest quality and most vibrantly coloured stones. The central 8.5mm brilliant cut citrine is claw set and finished with talons and ringed by twenty four 1mm pink sapphires individually set into the halo using the thread and grain technique.
Finishing touches
The completed necklace is sent to the Edinburgh Assay Office for Hallmarking before returning home to Shetland to be given a final finish and polish.
The necklace is presented in a high quality satin textured and chamois lined pendant box.
