Apple green peridot & tangerine sapphire ring
Apple green peridot & tangerine sapphire ring
Tutti Frutti cocktail jewellery - bursting with juicy fruit flavours.
A vibrant apple green peridot served with a border of citrusy tangerine sapphires set in glorious gold ring.
Hand crafted in Shetland.
Gem pairing
“Peridot is one of only two gems (diamond is the other) formed in the molten rock of the Earth’s upper mantle, rather than the Earth’s crust, and brought to the surface by earthquakes and volcanoes. The gem is deemed to emit positive spiritual energy, promote health and healing, and channel love and abundance.
Orange sapphires are sometimes called “Stones of Wisdom” and are said to bring intuition, clarity and self-mastery.
Together, these gems signify energy and insight.”

ring Design
Inspired by the Art Deco movement's emphasis on symmetry and geometric patterns, this Tutti Frutti halo ring features flamboyant and pronounced central gems reminiscent of classic Cocktail Jewellery. It sits raised off the finger, allowing it to be worn flush next to other rings or distinctly on its own. This ring is perfectly complemented by other pieces from the Tutti Frutti collection.
Metalwork
The ring’s shank, halo and claws were created by forming and shaping metal bullion using traditional mounting methods. These ‘master’ ring components are then used to create moulds from which wax versions are made, and these waxes are cast into 9ct or 18ct recycled gold using the ‘lost wax’ casting method. The component castings are filed, emeried and smoothed before being soldered together using gold solder and a blowtorch.
Gems
The gems are responsibly sourced by a trusted dealer based in Hatton Garden, London who we work closely with to ensure the highest quality and most vibrantly coloured stones. The central 8.5mm brilliant cut peridot is claw set and finished with talons, and the twenty four 1mm orange sapphires are individually set into the halo using the thread and grain technique.
Finishing touches
The completed ring is then sent to be Hallmarked at Edinburgh Assay Office before returning home to Shetland to be given its final finish and polish.
The ring is presented in a high quality satin textured and chamois lined ring box.
