Gem pairing
“Topaz has deep spiritual meaning in several cultures, and is said to bring fortune, protection and sharpen the wit. An old English superstition claims that topaz can even cure lunacy!
Amethyst, a variety of quartz, is said to have properties that promote groundedness, tranquillity, and calm, and counteract impatience
This combination of gems will keep you focussed and inspire a sense of grounded peacefulness.”The word ‘amethyst’ is from the Greek word améthystos and literally means “not intoxicated”. The ancient Greeks wore amethyst jewellery and made drinking vessels from it in the belief that it would prevent intoxication, so this could be the perfect ring for a night out!”

necklace Design
Inspired by the Art Deco movement's focus on symmetry and geometric patterns, this Tutti Frutti halo pendant necklace showcases flamboyant central gems reminiscent of classic Cocktail Jewellery. Suspended from an 18-inch trace chain with an adjuster link at 16 inches, it offers versatility in length. Whether worn solo, layered with other necklaces, or paired with pieces from the Tutti Frutti collection, it exudes flamboyant sophistication.
Metalwork
The pendant’s halo, basket and bail were created by forming and shaping metal bullion using traditional mounting techniques. These ‘master’ components are then used to create moulds from which wax versions are made, and these waxes are cast into 9ct or 18ct recycled white gold using the ‘lost wax’ casting method. The component castings are filed, emeried and smoothed before being soldered together using gold solder and a blowtorch. The bail is threaded with gold chain and the jump rings and catch are laser welded for strength and durability.
Gems
The gems are responsibly sourced by a trusted dealer based in Hatton Garden, London who we work closely with to ensure the highest quality and most vibrantly coloured stones. The central 8.5mm brilliant cut Sky Blue Topaz is claw set and finished with talons and ringed by twenty four 1mm purple amethysts individually set into the halo using the thread and grain technique.
Finishing touches
The completed necklace is sent to be Hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office before returning home to Shetland for a final polish.
The necklace is presented in a high quality satin textured and chamois lined pendant pendant box.
